I am beat

Today was our Open House at school and WOAH what a long day that makes.  I went in at 8:30 (which is later than I’ll normally start teaching) and left the school at 4, went home, got a few things around to take back to school, went back to the school at 5:45 and was there until 8:15.  LONG day.  Open House was fun.  I enjoyed meeting all the kids (most of whom I remember from 1st grade last year, but it was a good refresher) and the parents.  It should be a great year and I’m really looking forward to it.  I’m exhausted, and I’m sure there are many more days like this to come.  Tomorrow is the first day of school- should be pretty easy.  Tomorrow I’ll post pics of the room I took today before the crowds came through.

We’re having a roof put on our house- we’ve needed it for about a year and a half now.  Finally getting it done.  Its very irritating though.  The guys start showing up as I’m leaving for school and they are still here as I type.  I want to take a crap but they are working RIGHT above the bathroom and there is only the ceiling and the bathroom vent fan between us.  Ain’t gonna happen. GRRR.  Last night they were here until almost 10.  Maybe its a good thing that they’re getting it done and all in quickly, but sheesh after a long day at the school I want to come home and chill.  OH and Ryan decided to put a homemade skylight in the livingroom.  He fell through the drywall and left a big ol hole.  Darn it I took a picture of it but guess who wasn’t thinking when they formatted and erased their memory card???  Oh well. YOu get the idea- a big ol’ hole.  Now its covered with just a slab of drywall and it looks horrible. 

Ok I need to get to bed. I am about to fall over. My back hurts, my eyes are tired, my feet hurt.  AAAHHH.  I better get used to it.
