Oh my word I spoke way too soon about those hellions. Amy was sick yesterday so I was on my own teaching and these kids get so thrown off when things like that happen. Even just the fact that Amy wasn’t in the building messed them up- I have a student that is on a behavior plan and everyday he asks if she’s there and if she’s not he says "Oh I can’t be in here then. I have to leave". So, anyway, all I had planned was for kids to get work done that they hadn’t turned in and to play some fun trivia jeopardy at the end of the hour. Well, every freakin hour I had were bastards from hell. Ryan said "Didn’t you give them consequences?" Oh… HAHA yeah, consequences. Let’s see… I sent kids to the hall, to the office, gave out detentions, added minutes to stay after class when the whole class got disruptive, etc…. Did it work, nope. Do they give a crap if they get any of those consequences? Nope. I’m telling you, they are the children from hell on their bad days. However, a good side- I’m sure on Monday they’ll have forgotten all about it and be fine.
Today I have seminar from 9-12 and then senior pictures. WISH ME LUCK. Yes, I said senior pictures- in December, in Michigan. Mind you, its 30* outside and snowy. I do natural light photography so that means indoor pictures are pretty much out of the running since the sun has hardly been out in the past week. AND its a boy and his girlfriend, so hopefully I can come up with some good ideas for pictures… I’m hoping they either both have cute (and somewhat matching) coats or both don’t mind freezing their asses off without them. I’m thinking we’ll go downtown and try to get some buildings to do pictures against as backdrops and keep as much snow out of it as I can. I think snow pictures will be cool, and I’ll do some with the snow, but for all his senior pictures?? They are going to be some weird senior pictures. So, anyway, wish me luck.

I hate to be discouraging, but I just couldn’t teach Special ed after my first two years! Especially Jr. High. I can’t believ the things I had to deal with back then! Gifted ed is the way to go!!
