MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas.  We’ve had a busy few days, and its not over.  Christmas Eve we spent with Ryan’s extended family at his aunt and uncle’s house.  Today we went to his parents to open gifts, then to my dads to visit, and then back to Ry’s parents for dinner.  Long day, but really fun.  Tomorrow we will spend the day at my aunts house with my extended family.  And then it will be over, thank goodness.  While I love the holidays, I hate them at the same time.

Odds and Ends…

  • My sister-in-law is creating a new family blog for my 3 nieces, which will be so great to read. I’m excited for her to get it rolling.  I helped her set it up tonight, and I could tell she was excited to mess around with all the options.  It’ll definitely be easier to keep up with just one blog rather than the 3 websites for each of the girls.
  • We decided to make it an annual event to go out of town on vacation during Father’s Day weekend as a family on the Barczak/Murphy side.  This past summer we had such a great time at Grand Haven, and we think this following summer we’re going to go to Holland.  I’m really excited to have a camping trip planned!  Porter will only be 3 months old, so it should be intersting to take him when he’s so young, but he’ll have to get used to it!
  • I got a new book for Christmas that I can’t wait to start reading.  Jenny McCarthy’s Baby Laughs.  I have read Belly Laughs, the first book she wrote, and it was hilarious.  I’m sure I won’t be disappointed with this one either.  I’ll let you all know how it is.
  • I get to borrow my dad’s Kirby vacuum cleaner!  His wife wouldn’t let me borrow it a few months ago (long story, disfunctional family, don’t want to get into it) but he said Tuesday would be a good day to pick it up.  I can not wait to vacuum every fabric inch of my house.
  • Hmm… seems like I had a lot more to write.  Guess not.  Well maybe I’ll add more later, but for now I think I’m all set!
