Public Apology

I have to publicly apologize to my husband for doubting his pain last week.

He was home again today and went to the med station where he was diagnosed with a sprained and separated shoulder.  So, he really was in pain. He told me he was upset that I posted my frustration on my blog, so I really do owe him an apology.  I’m sorry honey!  However, you should think about the story "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" the next time you’ve got a little sickness and decide to overreact. I just got back from picking up his prescriptions for Vicodin and a muscle relaxer, he’s off work for 3 days and he’s got to go see a bone specialist to see about fixing his shoulder.

GOOD NEWS!  I hope I don’t jinx myself by posting this.  I think I’ve found a home for Reese.  I have gotten way overwhelmed with these dogs laying around our house, and I know its not going to get any better once Porter is born.  I have been trying to find a perfect home for Reese for awhile now.   Samson is getting up there in age, and I’m sure he won’t be around for long, and I figure if I can find a home for Reese I can deal with 2 dogs (Ramsey and Zoey are our babies….).  I’ve gotten a few leads in the last few weeks, but none seemed "perfect".  I want her to have another dog to play with, to be part of the family, spoiled and given tons of attention and have a yard to play in.  Is that too much to ask for?  Well, after the last potential home got me nowhere (still waiting to hear back from her after multiple rescheduled times to visit her home), I get a phone call today from someone named Toni.  She and her hubby have a 5 year old German Shepherd, live on about 300 acres on a golf course (that they own), takes her dog to work with her everyday in the summer and the dog sleeps in their bed.  Sounds good huh?  So I chatted with her for a bit and she’s supposed to call me tonight to set up a time to meet Reese tomorrow.  Leslie and her husband live in the same little town as this lady does, and Jade (Lel’s hubby) golfs at that particular golf course a lot, so I gave him a call tonight to see what he knows about Toni.  He said they are WONDERFUL people who spoil their dog like crazy, take her everywhere and would be perfect people for Reese.  I’m so excited.  Pray that this doesn’t fall through!  I really think this could be a great situation for Reese.

  1. Oh that is so wonderful that this has come about! They sound like great people!!! I hope everything works out for you!!!

Dogs are so wonderful- but very hard once kids come into the picture. Hard- to spend time with. We have our sweetie Mia that we have had for 8 years- she does get neglected due to the LARGE amount of kids running around! It has been nice for her now that the boys are getting older though. We tried having 2 dogs last year- and that DID NOT WORK- so we gave her back to her original family that we adopted her from. :O) I was happy that she had that to go back to!
