Clean Clean Clean

Well, so far my Saturday has been spent cleaning and organizing this house.  Its been awhile since there’s been a good cleaning done, so I’ve swept the livingroom, kitchen, basement stairs, landing and Porter’s room.  I dusted our bedroom, vacuumed it, took down some candleholders I don’t want up anymore (have to put them on freecycle) and attempted to dust the blinds.  The windows in our bedroom are old and nasty looking so we usually keep the blinds closed. However, it’d be nice to have some sunlight come into that room. So, I tried to dust the blinds that haven’t been dusted in about 3 years (or more…).  I think I’m going to toss them and get sheer curtains to put over the windows so I don’t have to see the nasty window frame, but light can still come in.  The windows are weird- they’re higher on the wall so you can’t really see out them or anyone see in them so sheer curtains should do ok.  However, finding the right size is going to be hard. I might have to make them. 

The dishes are done, the livingroom is dusted and straightened up.  I’ve also been working at washing all of the millions of sleepers/onesies/blankets that we have already for Porter.  I’m on my 3rd and last load right now.  I know my mom said she’s bought a ton from the resale shops so I’ll have more loads of clothes to do after the babyshowers.  Better to get ahead than save it all for the last minute. 

I need to get the bathroom cleaned good and the office cleaned, vacuumed, dusted and organized.  I should really go through the rooms and freecycle a bunch of stuff.  The spare bedroom is next, too.  My clothes are in that closet, and lots of them end up on the bed.  I’d like to get that room dusted, vacuumed, organized and neat.  Its nice that I have a 3 day weekend to get all this done!
