I’m in dire need of a good book to get engrossed in. The last few books I read, Knocked Up and Me & Emma were great and I flew right through them. I also read Dogs of Babel, which was interesting, but didn’t grab me like others I’ve read. Its a decent book, though.
Maria’s sister has a TON of books… I had no idea. Maria and I went to her sisters to pick out some books to read. She had a ton sitting out waiting for us and three boxes in the basement! We found about 10 or so that seemed really good, I took a few home and I’ll swap with Maria when I get through these. So, not only do I have the David Sedaris book I’m in the middle of reading (Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim), I also have 5 from Maria’s sister (Babes in Captivity, The Glass Castle, The Doctor’s Wife, Three Weeks with My Brother, and Wonderboy), plus two others from the library (Because I Said So and What No One Tells the Mom) AND 5 I’m waiting to be transferred to my local library. WOAH! I don’t know where to start.
Some books that I am waiting on at the library are:
- Bundle of Joy by Ariella Papa
- Confessions of an Ex-Girlfriend by Linda Curnyn
- Crossing the Line by Lauren Baratz-Logsted
- Monkey Business by Sarah Mlynowski
- You’ll Never Nanny in this Town Again! by Suzanne Hansen
Oh my gosh. I just realized HOW MANY books I’m tied up with LOL. There are so many that I want to read! Well, I guess I’ll have to get reading… I’m not sure if I’m into "serious" or "girly" right now… I’ve got quite the variety. So… does anyone have any suggestions?
