We have a “playdate!”

Yay Yay Yay!  Katie just called me and we’re going to get the babies together to go walking at Ella Sharp Park tomorrow if the weather is nice.  Its supposed to be 60* out, but possible rain showers.  I’m hoping the rain is quick and gone by the afternoon… I’m so excited about our little playdate!

Today was really nice- nearly 70*.  We went to church this morning and Porter did excellent.  He slept through the entire thing- loud band and all.  On Easter weekend they’re doing baptisms at Westwinds, and I’m considering getting baptized.  I was never baptized as a child, which is fine with me because after reading Westwinds info packet on their baptism I think I agree with their "philosophy".  They don’t baptize babies (Ryan had asked if we would get Porter baptized) because they feel that being baptized is a personal decision to dedicate your life to following God.  I completely agree.  I feel that I’m in a place right now that I feel ready to show my committment, my beliefs.  I’m just nervous about doing it in front of other people… it seems kind of intimidating.  Its something I think I’m going to pray about and try to decide if right now is the right time.

  1. Beautiful photos of your family, Nic! And I am so happy for your decision to be baptized – I am so excited for you. I was baptized at age 30, and it was one of the best moments of my life. I am glad that I was old enough to decide for myself. I am so proud of you three, and I can’t wait to see you in May! Much love, Aunt Linda
