last day here

we are having a great visit with Jessica, Ryan and Alyssa. Hasn’t been much time to update… sorry.  Tomorrow we go home- which will be nice to get back to normal but also sad… Porter is keeping me busy, and it’ll definitely be nice to be back with Ryan.  I can’t wait to scrapbook our trip and have a few moments alone without little man. 

A few highlights…

• We’ve gone to the scrapbook store- Scrapbook Heaven– that I am on the design team. I met Shannon, the owner- such a nice person! 
• We visited the waterfront, a beach in Florida and Sugar Mill ruins.. all very gorgeous places.  We definitely took lots of pictures.  Filled up 4 CD’s full!
• I had my first visit to Cold Stone Creamery- had the cake batter ice cream YUM… I can’t believe I’ve never been to Cold Stone!  I’ll have to make it to the one in Lansing much more often. 
• I have had the chance to get to know the most well behaved, respectful, courteous toddler I’ve ever met in my entire life.  Ryan and Jessica have done an awesome job raising Alyssa, and I hope MyRyan and I can be as consistent with teaching Porter manners and respect as they have with Alyssa.  I’m taking notes on their parenting.  I am thoroughly amazed at how great that kid is.  And she’s super cute too! 
• I got to play around with Photoshop 6.0 on Jess’s computer… WOW.  Much better than PS Elements.  Its a whole new ballgame to editing pictures now.  I can’t wait to get home and play around with it.
