I met them

and they’re great!

The kids are great, the parents are great, its all great! 

I’m about 99% sure I’m going to take the job. 

We discussed the pay etc, and they wanted to adjust my pay if one kid wasn’t there or if I didn’t have to work on a Friday etc… and I told them I wanted a flat $400/week regardless of how many kids I watch or how many days I’m there.  They seemed ok with it other than when the two girls might go to preschool two mornings a week.  They weren’t crazy about paying me and also paying preschool.  However, I stuck to my guns.  I’m not about to work for $3.33 an hour (thats about what’d itd be per hour per kid) two days a week.  I want the $10/hour regardless. 

I told them I wanted to think it over for a week, make sure it was something I wanted to do, and I’d give them a call later next week.  I pretty much think I’m going to take the job.  Its a good amount of money, I’d get to be with Porter, and they are cool with me taking the kids places if I want to attempt that. 

I was there for 2 hours and the kids were angels.  No fits/tantrums/brattiness at all.  Very well behaved kids.  And Luke, the 6month old, is such a smiley little guy.  He and Porter will get along just great.  Faith, Luke’s sister, was really shy but I think she’ll be a good kid.  Sheridan, the other little girl, was so outgoing and sweet. I really don’t think any of the kids will be bad… I mean, I’m sure SOMETIME they’ll have fits/tantrums, but they seem like they’re pretty well behaved.
