We had a great time on Thursday at CaesarLand with Heather, Savannah and Sawyer. Porter was a bit of a stink pot on the way up to Lansing… he screamed bloody murder like someone was hurting him. I have no idea what his problem was. It was NOT a fun ride up there. He really should have napped during the car ride, and because he didn’t, he was cranky and didn’t enjoy himself as much as he would have if he’d been rested. I can’t wait until he can crawl (which I know will be SOON…. today he kept getting up on his knees/hands and rocking back and forth) he’ll have a blast in that baby area when he is more mobile.
There was a little boy there that kept coming over and entertaining Porter and Sawyer. Rowdy little guy, but Porter loved him. He kept laughing at him and trying to grab his hat.
Hopefully we can plan more outings like this- it was so nice to get out of the house and DO something.
I found a class for me and Porter. The YMCA has parent/child swim classes that they offer- and they offer them in the evenings! YAY! For the time being, though, I think I’m going to take him to a water aerobics class that the Jackson Park and Recreation Department has. Until the end of the month the classes are in the outdoor pool at Ella Sharp Park, and this fall/winter they’ll be at Parkside in the indoor pool. The classes are cheap ($2) and my aunt said that there are women there that take their babies in the pool with them (its not a class specifically for moms/babies, but they’re welcome, I’m assuming). Anyway… we’re going to try that for a bit and then maybe we’ll go to the YMCA class eventually.

Hey, I would take water class w/ you. I was going to take a prenatal one this winter at the Y. But, I would do one now. Let me know. The pic’s were cute of Porter.
My neighbor recommended the water aerobics class to me awhile back. I’ve been meaning to go, just haven’t got around to it yet. I use to do water aerobics all the time- I loved it! You get a good workout, but you don’t feel like you’re working and you don’t get hot and sweaty! I’d be much more motivated to get started here if I had a buddy or two to join me! Let me know if you start!
Hey girl, I am just checking up with your blog..You didn’t see Markie or Torey at Ceasarland did you? They didn’t say anything about seeing you. Markie did have to tackle cleaning out the childrens play area after a child had a major blow out in his diaper..LOL it wasn’t Porter was it??? She said the mother bailed on the mess…ahhaha
