Christy on Scrapjazz posted this link to the 2Peas message board… the link is to a discussion about flowers that someone ordered from 1-800-Flowers.com.
She ordered this adorable daisy bouquet in a lime green daisy vase for her twin sister, and when the flowers arrived to the twin, they were what looked like field daisies in a BEER MUG. Seriously. The lady contacted 1-800-Flowers.com and instead of refunding her, they only gave her a 20% discount and a $20 gift card (which when it arrived it was only for $10!!). Why would she want a gift certificate to a company with that horrible of service?
And honestly, they can get away with sending crappy stuff if you think about it. I mean, when most people send flowers they just ask if they recieved them or what not. What recipient is going to say "did your really order these daisys in a beer mug" because what if they really did? Know what I mean? Makes me wonder… I have used 1-800 Flowers before to send my mom flowers I think (a few years back). I wonder what she actually recieved! YIKES.

I guess just a word of advice, maybe when you get flowers, take a picture of them, include the picture in a thank you card to the sender… then they can see what actually arrived!

Someone sent me flowers from there after my surgery and it was gorgeous!! It arrived in a giant, thick maragarita glass-style vase with giant lilies. Too bad for Christy’s sister!
