Camping was a success!

We had so much fun camping at Ryan and Heather’s house.  Yeah, it sounded a little silly at first, but does it really matter WHERE you camp– isn’t it the experience that makes it what it is?  We cooked out, made a fire and had smores and sat and talked until about 1am.  It was chilly cold out, but such perfect camping weather.  And at the end of the night we headed to our pop-up (and the Morrisons to their big ol’ tent) and it sure felt like we were at a real campground.   We made plans to go "real" camping the weekend of the 15th.  I think we’re heading to Van Buren/South Haven over on Lake Michigan.  Should be a fun weekend.  I’m so excited that we finally found friends that are as excited about camping as we are.

Speaking of non-camping friends… the Huffs came over for the cookout and a short part of the campfire, but headed home to their beds as they are NOT campers (although they’d just about convince you that they’re up to trying it but we really know you won’t HuffD…. HAHA!).  We tried to get them to stay the night… that it’d be perfect practice for the "real thing", as all the luxury conveniences of the house were right nearby, but they opted out. They thought they did pretty darn good "camping" in the chairs by the fire.  Anyhow, we were glad they joined us for a little bit.

Great friends, great food, great times.
