Copycat

My mom stopped by this morning, and when she was leaving she paused at the door and waved at Porter saying "Bye Bye!  Bye Bye!" like she always does.  I was holding him and he waved his arm up and down, and said "Ba bah,  Ba bah!"  They went back and forth a couple times, copying eachother.  It was so cute.

He’s really getting into mimicking things.  I’m always trying to get him to say Ma Ma, and he does every once in awhile.  I always sit him close to my face and really expressively say MAAA MAAAA.  I love watching him study my mouth so intently, and fold his lips in to copy mine.  And he loves copying you clap now too.  When he gets really happy or excited about something, he’ll get a big grin on his face and clap his hands together. 

Copying = cute, however, I’m thinking that pretty soon this means he’ll like to copy our cuss words? eeek…. we had better reform our household language, I’m thinking.   

This weekend….

• I have a scheduled-at-the-last-minute session… the Morrisons. I’m so excited to photograph their family.  Hopefully the weather will hold out and we’ll get a decent day tomorrow or Sunday.  And hopefully I’ll have some pictures to share next week.  Next month I have 5 more sessions…so this blog should be loaded up with pictures!
• Sunday Porter is going to go on a sleepover! He’s going to stay at my Aunt Dawns and she’s watching him Monday while I sub in the afternoon.  I am going to miss my little guy… but lately he’s been kind of whiney with me, so I’m going to enjoy a child-free night while I can.  I think Ryan and I might try to catch a movie or something.  Maybe we’ll make out in the back row like highschoolers?  Ok, joooking. Do people really do that??
• I just got a huge picture order from South Haven, Brenna’s birthday and new pictures of Porter I ordered for everyone.  I am SO thrilled with the picture in my banner that I had printed.  My mom ordered an 8×10 and it looks AWESOME.  I wish the original had more space around him and I’d get it gallery wrapped.  The printed version is sooo perfect.  I think this batch of pictures is by far my best yet.   

  I now have a ton of pictures to scrap, which I need to get moving on sooon.  I still have a few assignments due before the first of the month (which is in like just a couple days, right??).

• We had someone come look at our house tonight.  Pain in the rear.  I swear, it sucks to have to clean your house to a spotless condition for someone to check it out for half an hour. Luckily we have another walk through in the morning, so all that cleaning effort was put to use twice (why the heck did I keep wanting to write "was worth twice the bang???" What the HECK??)

Ok… I need to get off here.  Yes, Katie… I know i’m blogging a lot.  I know you just wish you had as much to say as I do. Don’t be jealous. Its ok. I’ll still be your friend.   🙂
