I got the chance to play around with my drool-over 20D today.  Lauren (Aria’s mom) let me borrow it for a day to test it out.  I definitely have to have this camera.  Ryan doesn’t feel the same way, but unfortunately for him, its m-m-m-m-my photography money.  I know, I’m mean.  So, I’m debating over the 20D or 30D.  Just wondering if it’ll end up being something I had wished I’d upgraded to in the first place.  Not sure that I need it, though.  Anyway, my Rebel will be up for sale soon.  If anyones interested….

Anyway, I took Aria and Porter to the park today to test out the camera.  Its a bit different than my Rebel, so I was not sure of how to change some of the settings and ended up just shooting in manual as that was the only mode I could figure out.  She had her camera set to underexpose by two stops, so most of the pictures I took in AV were underexposed.  I was able to revive them a bit in PS, but they aren’t the greatest.   I created an album with the pictures, so you can go check them out if you want.  Here is the LINK.

And here are a few for a sneak peek….

look at his poor, cold, red nose!!

Today we bought carpet for the living room (ok, so its carpet that is going to be bound so its really an area rug). I’d never ever ever ever have thought I’d want to put carpet in my living room.  I love my wood floors, and we’ve always said that whenever we move, the carpet will be the first thing to get ripped out.  Well, in comes the carpet.  Porter has had too many head cracks now that he stands, and it’ll be much more comfy to sit on when we play with Porter (and I’m sure much more comfy for him too!).  Its a really soft carpet, and I’m hoping the dogs don’t dirty it up too much.

This weekend we’re going to the pumpkin patch- twice- I think.  Tomorrow we’re going with my aunt and cousin (just me and P-Man since Ry will be working in the am) and on Sunday with the Huffs and the Morrisons (I think… if we work out a time).  I will definitely post pictures, I’m sure I’ll have a ton.

I also have a session on Sunday.  I got a call today and the lady has two daughters graduating, so it’ll actually be two seniors that I’ll be shooting.  I looooove senior sessions.  They are so much easier to work with than kids (although kid sessions produce much more spontaneous shots instead of "posed").  Anyway, I still have one session from last week to proof.  Yikes.  I need to get caught up!!

I think thats about it for the update. Oh… hint hint everyone… tomorrow is Sweetest Day.  I didn’t know that until today, when Ryan mentioned it.  Don’t give me flack… I rarely watch tv and I have had a cd playing in my car for weeks… so I’m kind of out of touch with the world HAHAH!!
