Lots and lots

I’m going to copy Heather.  I have lots to share, and I’m going to do "chapters".  I’m a copycat. 

CHAPTER 1: Great Grandma dies.
Ok, yeah, go and start off with the bad news.  I know.  Well, my Great Grandma Swett died last week.  Its going to be so hard on my grandpa– my great great grandma (Allen) (his grandma… my great grandma’s mom… got that??) just died a couple months ago- she was 104.   So now her daughter has died.  My poor grandpa has lost both his mother and grandmother in a span of a couple months.  She will be missed greatly.  I haven’t seen her in, gosh, a couple of years.  She was so funny.  She had horrible short term memory, but could remember the past like it was yesterday.  She was in a nursing home in Virginia, where my grandpa lives.  My mom has told me many times that she’ll call Grandma Swett and ask how she’s doing and she’d say "Oh fine. Just helping Finn (my grandpa) finish these wood floors and paint the rest of the walls.  They’re getting the numbers up on the room across the hall… yep, I see it now… 504"  She thought my grandpa owned the nursing home and they were fixing it up (my grandpa fixes up houses, and in the past years my great grandma used to help him paint trim etc).  So, she seriously thought they fixed up her nursing home and let other people live there.  She was so funny.

Chapter 2: Porter finally gets a new tooth!
So I’ll move onto lighter news.  Monday I was rough-housing with Porter and I had him upside down and what did I see in his mouth?  A new tooth had broke through on the top!  Thats why he’s been a nutcase lately!  Its one of his top teeth, and the other I can see starting to come through.  So he’s not going to be a hillbilly his whole life afterall!

Chapter 3: Moving up in the world… I’ll soon have a "real" website set up!
I purchased a domain name, webhosting and a photography template for my soon-to-be-revamped photography site.  I’m SO excited for this change.  It’s going to be so much more professional looking. I’ll release the new website as soon as I get it up and running.

Chapter 4: UGHUGHGH I keep forgetting!!!

Chapter 5: We have family pictures! 
I probably shouldn’t share them, as I intend to use them on our Christmas cards, but what the heck.  Not everyone reads my blog.  And I just may use a picture of porter for the Christmas cards, if I get any cute Santa Baby pictures….  So, here they are.  Nothing great.  My husband is TERRIBLY uncooperative.  I was able to get about 10 pictures, and let me tell you, there is MAJOR photoshopping going on in these pictures.  MAJOR. 

Chapter 6: 4 Days until CHICAGO!
Heather and i booked our room today… we’re a little nervous.  We found a motel for $39.99.

And we booked it. 

$39.99.

Scary.  But, we’re up for some fun, it might be disgusting and run down, but its cheap.  And thats $50 we’re saving to SHOP with, right?  HAHAH.  Wish us luck.  We’re taking flip flops to wear in the shower, and our own bedding. 

Chapter 7: Its our anniversary!
Happy 3 Years to us!  I can’t believe its been three years!  But whats even more unbelievable is how long we’ve been together…. NINE years!  We started dating in high school, December of 1997.  Nine years ago.

Here we are a few months after we started dating… this was I think the spring of 1998. 

And a year or two later… (uhm… not that is NOT a big red zit on my chin… I think there was something on my scanner… I’m too lazy to rescan the picture, so imagine it without that red dot)

Here we are when we got engaged…. in 2002.  Ryan planned a surprise birthday party for me and had an outline of a hand drawn on my cake and he put the ring in the cake on the "ring finger". 

I think thats it for now.  I hear our "happily ever after" little guy upstairs screaming his head off for who knows what reason.   There may be more chapters tomorrow… we’ll see.
