More “be aware” information…

I know by posting this I’m going to get some people a little worried and paranoid.  But, I think by bringing it to more peoples attention it can be more helpful, and possibly save a life or two.

I found this information on Sugar Photography’s blog. One of Jennifer’s photographer friends had been pregnant after years of fertility treatments.  And on the morning of her scheduled c-section it was discovered that her baby boy, James, had passed just hours before.  I can’t imagine the pain they’re going through, to be that close to having your baby in your arms, and it all fall through at the last moment.  To think of your child sufforcating inside your body.  What at tragic thing to go through.

I felt the need to share this, as we had had a scare during our pregnancy with Porter.  In December, i was about 30 weeks pregnant I believe, I had decreased fetal movement for a few days.  And during my appointment when we listed to his heartbeat it slowed way down.  We had an ultrasound and confirmed that everything was fine, he was moving fine and his heart was fine, but from that point on I was always counting kicks.  It scared the crap out of me to think that he was so close to me, yet if something happened there wasn’t much I could do to help him.

Anyway, I wanted to pass on the Kicks Count link, as well as James’ story.  Its heartbreaking.

Here is a postcard, I will give credit to Jennifer of Sugar Photography, but I’m wondering if the card is from www.stillnomore.org
Kickcountpostcard

  1. the card is actually Blair’s (James’ mommy)-she designed it and asked photographers to spread the word.

    Thanks for sharing his story!

I’m so glad your scare turned out okay!
