Porter was so silly today… he got this Valentine’s Day card from Grandma and Grandpa Barczak and it had a dog on the front. He carried this card around ALL DAY… holding it up in the air saying "Daww Dawww" (he has dropped the "daw-T!" lately… hmm). So funny.
I didn’t have to work at all today… School was canceled and then Lauren called and said Aria wouldn’t be coming over either. So, it was kind of nice to have a do-nothing day in the middle of the week.
My husband somehow managed to irritate the living daylights out of me today. I had planned to run errands after Porter’s morning nap, but Ryan had called and asked if we wanted to eat lunch with him. Thinking… hmmm its Valentine’s Day, we’re home… sure, why not.. we’ll just go run errands afterwards.
So, I told him to come home for lunch. At 11 (his lunch starts at 11) I made chicken fajitas and got our glasses of Diet Dr. Pepper all set out. 11:21… he’s still not here.. I figured, any minute. 11:32- still not here. Hmm.. Oh, well he probably stopped by the store to get a V-Day card. That’s SO something he’d do.
11:40 still not home. I called his work and asked Brian if Ryan had left for lunch. "Yeah he left, but I think he just got back, hang on". WHAT????? So Ryan gets on the phone and I ask why the hell he didn’t come home. "Oh, I just decided not to- I didn’t want to leave in this cold weather." BULL honkety shit, since someone at your work just said you’d just gotten back. I simply hung up… I was so SO mad I knew anything that came out of my mouth from that point on would be very vulgar and mean. He didn’t even have the decency to call and let me know… Porter and I sat here waiting and waiting for 40 minutes before finding out that he wasn’t even going to show up.
Porter and I ate a quick lunch and then went to my hair appointment. I LOVE getting my hair cut! It always feels so much nicer afterwards. I also had talked to C (my stylist) about putting up a large portrait in her salon from her family session last fall… and she said YES! I’m excited about that. She sets out my business cards for me, so hopefully having a display there will draw more attention my way. YAY!! Now if I could only get the guts to contact some OB offices. I’m sooo chicken.
Well, thats our day in a nutshell. Naps were better… Porter actually fell asleep in the car on the way home this afternoon and I managed to transfer him successfully. He took a 45 minute nap in the morning and a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. Good Boy!!
