Regression

ugh.  its 10:30 at night, and i had hoped to use the rest of the evening (the night is still young!) to finish proofing both sessions i had this weekend (big goals for me!).  however… why is it that i’m on the couch blogging and watching Play with me Sesame?

yeah, thats right… you heard me.  porter awake.  at 10:30.  for the past week or so he’s been waking up around 11 or 12midnight and screaming.  usually he goes back to sleep on his own, but a few times we’ve had to rock him, and one night he screamed so bad he was gagging and choking, so we just let him get up and he hung out from 11 to 12:30 before crashing finally.  this is NOT normal in our house… porter is usually in bed by 7:30ish (sometimes 8 or 8:30 if he’s in a good mood). 

this morning, porter woke up with a stuffy nose and a little cough.  he’s also been sneezing all day.  i think its probably mostly due to allergies (ryan and i have bad allergies… we get prescription allegra d every summer… and have already been dosing up).  so, the poor kids nose is totally stuffed up and he can’t breath.  he had a bath tonight and i slathered him up with sunscreen errr vicks and gave him some little noses cough and cold.  well, he went to bed at 7:30 (he only took an hour and a half nap this afternoon) and at 10pm he was up crying and screaming and coughing and sniffling.  poor kid.

oh, now ryan’s laying down the law.  porter got off the couch and started to ride his bounce n spin zebra.  ryan scooped him up and took him to bed.  mom must be the sucker of the house….
