Dealing with the cat…

Thank you, Barbie, for forcing me to do this.

I called the vet, and of course they suggested having a urinalisis done and some tests to see if he’s sick. *bleeehhh*  Then she said if he doesn’t have a UTI and his peeing is a behavioral problem, then they can prescribe some medication for him. Uhm, no freakin way. I am not paying for medication if my cat has some behavioral problems. So, basically, I’m assuming they’ll never suggest putting him down, unless maybe he goes spastic and can’t walk and pees all over himself, in that case they may suggest a cart for him or something.  Whatever.  So the vet was no help. I’m sorry. I just don’t want do deal with this stupid cat anymore. I don’t care if he is/was sick (for a freakin year, probably not!) I will never trust him to be in my house.   Last year, when our new furniture was on order, he peed on the old couch. In front of me.  Bastard.  Then he pees in the guest room. I will never trust him to be in my house.

Which brings me to my decision, which Barbie talked me into.  I put his ass outside.  He can fend for himself. I left him some food and water on the deck, with a prayer that someone finds him and takes him in.  I hope he doesn’t get stupid and get in a fight or something.  I do not want to pay another $180 for his pussy, swollen face.

Oh my.  I sound like a horrible person.  I really am not. I do love animals, ask anyone who knows me well.  We adopted 4 large dogs for petes sake.  I just can’t stand this cat anymore.  And we have a small house, and that huge cage is taking up so much room.  And what kind of life is it for him to live in a cage??

  1. Nic, I know how hard it was for you to make that choice. He’ll be okay. Just keep him fed and give some some attention once in a while. He’ll be just fine!! :o)
