Oh my gosh you’d think I was a Kirby rep if you talked to me lately. My mother-in-law probably thinks I’ve gone insane (that or she already realizes it).
On Thursday this dude stopped by and wanted to give a demonstration with the Kirby vacuum and said he’d make $25 just to do the demo. So, what the heck I can sit and watch him vacuum my floors… but OH MAN that vacuum is a dream. I couldn’t believe the crap it pulled out of my carpet- even AFTER he vacuumed it with our Hoover like 20 times. That sucker is amazing. I am whipped by the Kirby. I have to have one. Too bad I’m broke. Do you realize they try to sell it to you for $1500???? But the vacuum can shampoo your carpets, turn into a leaf blower, has all these attachments that suck the dirt and dust out of your furniture. OH my couch. My lovely lovely couch thats just a year old. He vacuumed it- and THERE WAS DIRT AND NASTINESS IN IT! Thats what killed me the most.
Well here’s the amazing part. My dad actually has one of the new Kirby’s. Long story short, his wife got sucked into the demo and purchased one when he had told her no (they already have an older Kirby) and so on Wednesday I’m going to pick up that Marvelous Machine and guess what I’ll be doin this weekend? Yup. Vacuuming every soft piece of anything in my house. I can not wait.
Oh and even better. I found the Kirby online for less than HALF the price those ripoffs were trying to sell it for. Guess what I’m buying next year when I get a full time teaching job? Oh yeah, baby, I’m buyin a vacuum cleaner. How pitiful.

HAHA! We have a Rainbow, and everyone says they are BETTER than the Kirbys…Nanny-nanny-boo-boo! 🙂 Ryan still gripes about the price, tho!
I guess that i need to get Kirby. My vaccum is one of those bagless things and I thought that it did the trick. I guess not compared to what a Kirby does.
I am so jealous! I want a Kirby!!!!! OMG I am really getting old when I am drooling reading a blog about a Kirby.
I haven’t dared to let them in my home yet. People tell me they stay for hours and won’t leave until you buy one! They sure are nice though. Too bad they cost so much!
Do they really work that good? I have neveer seen the demo or known anyone who had one. Hmmm. Now you go tme thinking about all the nasty cat hair that is imbedded throughout my house!
