- Porter has been on a protest against his naps today. This morning he took a 10 minute nap and finally at noon I just let him cry until he fell asleep. Even then he only slept for 20 minutes. I took him to the bank and he fell asleep in his carseat at 2:00, and when we got home you’d better bet I kept him in that carseat. He slept until about 5. He was exhausted and cranky. Yesterday I thought he was getting better with his screaming fits- he had a really good day yesterday. Today he was cranky, but I’m going to assume that’s because he was overly tired. He gets really cranky when he needs a nap, and today he really needed a nap.
- We finally sold the truck- hopefully. The guy was supposed to bring the check today but he’s coming Friday now. It’s about time! The money will really help out to allow me to stay home with Porter for the summer, as well as fix up the Durango (has rust spots we are having fixed). I’m praying the guy comes through for us.
- Friday I’m going out with some girlfriends for a much needed girls night out. Its been a looong time. Now I just need to figure out what to wear. My wardrobe is really limited at the moment.
- My mom bought a house- and its just down the road and around the corner from us. She won it at an auction and got a good deal on it. It needs lots of cosmetic work, but it’ll be a cute little house when it gets the TLC it needs.
- Big news for Georgia…. my friend Jess found out the other day she’s pregnant. Finally after 2 years of trying, a round of clomid, a SA, and an HSG test. (is that right Jess?). I cried when she told me. I felt so bad for her and Ryan, especially after I had Porter and here I had this precious baby that we were able to have so easily, and they’d been trying for so long. God finally answered their prayers and I am so excited for them.
I’m also Georgia bound on May 9th. I’m going to visit Jess! She and Ryan had some FF miles that were going to expire so she got me a ticket to go visit. Porter and I are going to have a blast. Alyssa is already excited and anticipating Porter coming to visit her. It will be so awesome to finally meet Jess in person. We talk nearly every day and I’d definitely consider her one of my best friends. Its going to be a great visit- I am imagining lots of time at the beach, lots of photo shoots and lots of visits to the scrapbook store! Its really kind of neat- I’m on the Design Team for Scrapbook Heaven, the Scrapbook store in Jessica’s town, so when I’m down there I’ll get to meet Shannon, the owner, and Suzanne, the DT coordinator.
- I was planning on starting a Cardio Kick class at the YMCA, but then I found out the prices hiked up to $5 a class! What a ripoff! By the time I go once a week, I might as well just join the YMCA and work out every day. We can’t afford that, though, so I’m going to either need to start up running again or find somewhere else that has cheap classes. Anyone up for running with me in the evenings?

Georgia sounds like it will be a lot of fun! Glad to hear you FINALLY are taking some girl time this Friday.

I would love to run with you.. but i think by the time i made it to where you live.. i would be dead. not sure if you have a university or college nearby but sometimes their fitness centers have cheap group classes and you dont usually have to be a student there…
