senior session, jogging stroller and nightime fueds

I had a senior session today, which didn’t go as well as I’d liked.  I just wasn’t into it.  It was a senior guy, so ‘posing’ was difficult for me to do- guys just aren’t into getting their pictures taken like girls are.  Here’s my favorite shot..

I bought myself a jogging stroller today.  I really need to get myself back into the running groove.  I love to run, but really I have to be in that frame of mind- pumped to run- to be able to do it successfully.  I’m not in that frame of mind.  While I was pregnant thats all I dreamed of doing, but now I’m so exhausted its the last thing I feel like doing.  I am thinking that my new purchase might just motivate me to get out. I’m hoping Porter and I can make it out at least 3 mornings a week.  I think he’ll enjoy it.  I also got a steal on the stroller.  It was the last one at Target, and the wheel locking clip was poking out of a hole in the box and was a little scratched up.  So I told a manager, expecting to get 10% off, but she said ‘How’s 20%?" 

Ryan and I are at war about nighttime feedings.  Apparently he thinks that just because he works warrants him 7 full nights of sleep a week.  HA!  I don’t expect him to get up during the week, and I have no problem doing the week feedings, but is it too much to ask him to take over the weekend feedings at night?  I guess so, because I asked him to get up at the 4am feeding last night and know what he said?  "Why don’t you get this feeding and I’ll do the next"  Uh- sure- the next feeding is morning… so how is that fair?  So I’ll spare you the details but lets just say it was a loud night in our house last night.  I brought up the subject again this evening and I said "lets compromise. either you let me get 2 nights of sleep on the weekends or we can split the feedings all week- you do the midnight/1am feeding and I’ll do the rest"   In Ryan’s world that didn’t fly either.  So, when I’m finished with this post I’m heading to my grandmas for the night and he’ll be here with Porter all by himself.  I’m not about to get into another middle of the night argument.  Tonight he’ll have no option as to whether or not to get up with his son.  This will be the first good nights sleep I’ll have had in a looong time. 

Hmm what else is new… I went out with the girls last night and we had a blast.  We’re going to try to do that once a month- get together for drinks and catch up.  A girl really needs that every once in awhile.
