I am SO excited for this Halloween. I can’t wait to dress Porter up, and even before he was born Ryan and I were thinking of all the cool costumes we could get for him.
Now, for some reason today I happened to think that its getting closer and closer… and I could actually start thinking about what he’s going to be this year!
I want to get him a unique costume… no run-of-the-mill pumpkin or blues clues or Disney character for this dude (at least not until he has a say-so… I’m going to take advantage of his unopinionated days while I can).
I love Tom Arma costumes… they are way cute. A little pricey, but so cute! Ryan and I would love to find a squirrel costume, kind of as a joke because Zoey loved her stuffed squirrel until Ramsey chewed it up (check out the scrapbook page about Squirrel) Anyway- no luck yet finding a squirrel costume, but here are some of my favorites:

Hi, I read your blog all the time and decided to comment on your Halloween costume ideas. You should definetly get the costume you want ahead of time, especially if it’s a Tom Arma one, as they sell out fast! Last year I wanted to get my son the monkey costume…waited too long…sold out. We got him the Skunk costume, which is adorable and something a little different…plus living in northern Illinois, it was perfect for the fall as it’s very warm and plush. Also seeing the monkey costume in person, it wasn’t that warm or cute. The shark costume you found is very cute and so are the other choices! Can’t wait to see what you pick.
There are tons of great costumes out there! I don’t know if you’ve found this site or not (it’s also great for anything else baby you need) but OneStepAhead.com has some great costumes. I get their catalog and I love their stuff. Costume-wise, I especially love the Hatching Chicken they have!!
You know, with all your creativity, I’m sure you could put together a great costume for Porter yourself! And I’ve seen some pretty cute ones that couple a baby and mommy together… that would be fun if you had a party to go to or something!
OMG, you are like us! We talked about that before Morgan was born as well. Because he was only 6 weeks old last Halloween, everything was too big except for a cute little pumpkin outfit. Also, we didn’t do anything because he was a newborn.
I love those Tom Arma ones too, the monkey was one of the ones on my list as well! Our boys will be so cute this year!
So weird…I just ordered Lia’s Tinkerbell and Shae’s Little Red Riding Hood costumes last night. Not sure about Brenna yet. You should definitely get on that now if you want anything worth the money. 80% of the costumes that I liked were already sold out. I can’t wait to see Mr. P. in a halloween costume!

Hey Nicole- If you have not bought his costume yet I know a lot of the kids clothing stores have just received their Halloween lines. Old Navy, Gymboree, Baby Gap, and Childrens Place all have cute ones! Lily is going to be the TuTu Bumble Bee from Gymboree- I can not wait! :O)
