we didn’t do much today. We had plans to go to the park with Katie, Heather, Donnie, Sawyer and Savannah, but we never made it. I was tooooo lazy. My house was trashed. Seriously. I did about 4 loads of laundry, attempted to clean up the kitchen from my baby-food making frenzy, and clean up Porter’s room. I tackled all of it, and not a thing got 100% finished. I felt bad when Ryan got home that the house was in such disarray. I just couldn’t get with it today.
Check out my freezer loaded up with homemade baby food! I really had fun doing this… we’ll see how long this food lasts.
We went and looked at a house today- 4bed, 2 bath, full basement (not finished though) and 2 car garage on over half an acre. Its in Western School District, which is ideal, and the price is perfect. It does need lots of cosmetic work (paint, new flooring in most of the rooms, and the hardwood floors refinished in the living room and a few bedrooms) and the windows are older, but there is a ton of potential, which is what we look at. We’re not the type of buyers that go into a house and just can’t see past the first appearance. We see what it *could* be with a little TLC. And this house would be great with some TLC. We’ll see, though… because with our luck we either will never get an offer on our house, or if we do by that time that house will have an offer on it. I think, though, for that price range, we aren’t going to find anything this suitable for us.
I’ll keep you updated on that situation.
What else is new….
- I mailed out about 15 resumes the other day… we’ll see if I get a bite. I mailed them to school districts up to 45 min or so away. I really don’t want to have to commute that far, but I’ve gotta do what I’ve gotta do.
- Still trying to figure out what costume to get Porter for Halloween. I really can’t justify spending $60 on his costume for one night… about one hour that night at that. So, I’m looking at cheaper alternatives and eyeing a few costumes on ebay.
- I’ve done NADA as far as scrapbooking. I need to get back into the groove of things. Lots of Design team projects due in the next two weeks, so I need to get a move on it.

Ebay is a great place to find costumes. I have bought a few on there that were used for one hour- it worked out perfect for us!
This year the boys are going to be Captain America and Venom (Black Spider Man). I wish that one would be Spider Man and the other Venom, but they dont want to do that. :O( This will be the first year they do not coordinate. So sad!
Eden is going to be a cheerleader and Lily is most likely going to be a Care Bear.
Go to Lillian Vernon- Lillys kids- there is a link there for the costumes and they are great. There is also great costumes at buycostumes.com and Old Navy gets some cute ones every now and then too. There is always Gap too, but they get pricey.
