However, I’m not backing down that this is my opinion.
Here’s the thing: I realize that shit happens. I realize that
sometimes you just need a little help. I don’t have a problem
with people using WIC, foodstamps and living in government housing as
long as they’re using it for a "stepping stone" and aren’t abusing the
system. I realize there are people out there that TRULY need help to
get by. I realize there are families out there that one parent
gets hurt in an accident of for whatever reason is unable to work and
they need assistance to get by month to month.
My issue is with people who go and make these situations happen for
themselves fully knowing that they won’t be held accountable- that
their necessities will be handed to them and they can use their
paycheck to buy a nice car, pay for cable and high speed internet and
to go out and party. They make living this way their way of life.
And somehow whoever is in charge of these programs and funding
doesn’t realize that there are middle class people who are struggling
to get by and trying to do everything right but can hardly make ends
meet. Yet, there’s no money being handed to them to help them
out. It seems like the help, the aid for getting a college degree, the whatever
else, is only for the people who don’t think things through and who
know they can abuse the system and make it a way of life.
And another thing that I think is funny… I remember saying to someone that I disapproved of "types" of people living off the government (aka, meaning them), and that its our tax paying money that is paying for them to live this way. "This person" stated: "Well, I pay taxes too, so its my money going to pay for me to live here" OH really? So, since we ALL pay taxes, does that mean that the government should pay for ALL of us to live in this type of housing and we should ALL recieve state aid? Hmm….
I do still 100% stand by my opinion that the state needs to require and issue birth control to those people who are recieving state aid.

ha….yep, we really DO agree! but really, what we are saying is the truth…
