So, with all that being said… I bought the 30D tonight. There isn’t much of a difference between the 20D and 30D, as far as the camera AND the price (only $100 difference), so I just decided to go with the 30D. In 8-10days my new baby will be here! I have loved my Rebel, and OH MY WORD I can’t imagine where I’d be if I hadn’t bought it. Not that "the camera" makes you take a great picture, but having a DSLR gives you instantaneous feedback versus a film SLR. Seeing what you did wrong, what settings were wrong etc was so much quicker with my Rebel. Its been such a great learning experience and using the Rebel has brought me so far in my photography skills. I can’t wait to see where I go with the 30D.

Okay, so I went waaaaaaaay back in your blog to find this post. And then it didn’t even tell me what I wanted to know. 🙂 Haha. Anyway, a friend is looking to buy a camera and wants to know if she should get the Rebel XTi or the 40D. So did you notice a major difference between the Rebel and the 30D? I told her she may be better just getting the Rebel and spending the difference on lens(es)… since she is a beginner… what is your expert opinion?!?
