Cheeky Little Monkeys

We had our first "Mom and Tot" get-together today, and it went really well!  A few members weren’t able to make it, but even so, it was fun.  I knew everyone there, and it was so neat to introduce different people that I knew to my other friends.  (If you’re in our area, come and join the Cheeky Little Monkeys!) 

Porter’s bedtime story tonight was March’s issue of Parenting Magazine.  Hey, reading is reading… right?  I’m all about multi-tasking, and honestly, he’s content just to sit and listen to me read anything.  Great way to get through that stack of magazines that seem to pile up.

It seemed ironic that Parenting Magazine’s poll topic in their issue was Confessions: Mom vs. Mom.  Lots of polls about meeting other moms/getting along with them etc.  Hmm some interesting things:

How do you know you won’t hit it off when you meet another mom:
50% How she treats her child
44% The way she looks at me or my child
6% Her clothes or appearance

How do moms treat one another?
51% They mean well, but they get catty when insecure
26% They’re too judgmental
23% They’re supportive

Which is most difficult?
Making a mom friend 39%
Keeping a mom friend 35%
Breaking up with a mom friend 26%

I’m going to be posting a picture poll soon… I need to order some large portrait samples to show clients, and I’m having a really hard time deciding on images.  So, I am going to be posting some images and asking all my readers to vote for their favorites.
