Good news

I was scared out of my mind to appear at the courthouse this morning, but once I sat in with all the other "ticket fighters" I relaxed a little.

I ended up getting off with just the fine.. no points.  YAY!  Not that I’m happy about paying $110, but its better than having points right?

The officer had numerous other people fighting his tickets.  He sounds like a ticket-happy freak.  Listen to this ticket…

One girls car broke down ON the road.  Her passenger was trying to push… physically push… the car off the road, while she steered.  To get it out of traffic, you know?  Well, a car sped by, hit her car and totaled it.  The officer gave HER a ticket… because her tire tracks went across the middle line.  Gave her a ticket for lane usage or something.  Is it any surprise the judge threw that whole thing out?

So, that was my morning. I left court with a migraine, took a Darvocet at school (I do wonder if maybe it was a Vicodin, b/c it make me loopy and nauseous) and after work Porter and I browsed Meijer to pick up a few things.

And he was SUCH a pill this afternoon.  He took a 45 minute nap this morning, which was fine.  I don’t care if he sleeps for an hour or two in the mornings… 30 to 45 minutes is enough to refresh him and keep him happy until the afternoon.  Well, by the time we left Meijer at 1:30 he was tired… his eyes drooped, he was DEFINITELY tired.  Well, I got him home and put him to bed… at 2:00… and he screamed and threw a tantrum until 4:30.  Nice, huh?  I wasn’t about to give in and get him up.  Everytime I’d go in and lay him down and pat his butt for a minute he’d calm down, rub his eyes, his eyes would droop… and the second I walked out of the room he’d start screaming again.  I was soooo fed up with him.  Well, he finally wore himself out after 2 1/2 hours of screaming.  What a punk.  Just how I wanted to spend my afternoon.

  1. That officer sounds like he needs to retire if all he does is write out lame tickets. I’m glad you didn’t get any points though – good news!

  2. Im glad that you didn’end up getting points on your lisense! That cop sounds like he had a goooood morning!! Maybe he should change his ways and his thinking when he hands out random tickets!

  4. Let me just tell you….I think you & this blog are so funny, you’ve got quite the exciting life! I normally don’t read blogs…I just check out photos and stuff but I am for sure going to keep checking in.

I’m glad that court went your way (kinda)….and as far as your little boy – I’m felling ya! Been there, done that!
