Yooo hooo… is NICOLE around??

This is going to be a totally random post because, quite frankly, as Heather said… Where the hell did the week go?!" (ok, so she didn’t swear.  Its not a Nicole Post without Hell or Fricken, now is it?)

Chapter 1: Way Cool Baby Books
Heather send me the links for these.  And I WANT them.  They’re so cool. Nevermind that I’m totally addicted to buying books for Porter, but books that actually teach him to do practical things… bring it on. BWAHAHAHA!!  "Porter, mama needs a martini!!! Make that a rum and coke. Double it up, kiddo! It’s been a rough day."  (Oh!  That reminds me… I’m totally slacking on my "third person post".  I promise.. this week… sometime.  I’m still doing "research")

Chapter 2: My Fabulous New Bag
Its a little small for me… I like the big honkin purses, but it has Mr. Precious on it, so what is not to love?? I’m now offering these to clients, and am very very excited about it.  They are fabulous.

Chapter 3: Cheeky Little Monkeys
32207_046_2
We had another playdate with our Cheeky Little Monkey group.  When Heather and I first had the idea to start some sort of "Mom and Tot" group, I honestly didn’t think we’d meet "new" people from our area. I had assumed the friends I knew in town would join and maybe some of their friends.  However, through Cafemom and various sites, we’ve added many new members who I know we will become good friends with.  Its so nice to have a group of women with kids around Porter’s age.  {I think}There are 5 other one-year olds in our group.  And there are 4 little girls under the age of 5 months (hmm… maybe a few more… we haven’t met some of the moms), so it’ll be so fun to see them grow up ‘together’ too.

For this playdate, we met at Urban Toddler in Saline.  Very cool place.  Afterwards we went to Red Robin for dinner.  6 moms and 7 kids (under the age of 4!!).  And guess what…. our dinner went so SO well. I was really impressed.  I honestly thought at least one of the kids would want to get up and move around, or shout out or have a fit over something, but nope.  They all sat and ate like little angels.  See… our group is already starting out really well.

This week we are having our first MNO (Mom’s Night Out).  Much needed.  I can’t wait.

Chapter 4: The Park
We’ve had some pretty decent days lately, and on Friday (ok, yesterday) my mom stopped by with Aubri and we all walked up to the playground.  Aria was over, so she joined us. Porter was cracking me up. He loved the teeter totter, and kept trying to be a daredevil on it.  AND! He went down the slide by himself!  YAY!

Chapter 5: The Easter Bunny Eats Porter
32407_052

Ok, not really. Porter was trying to give him (err… her) a kiss.  The poor bunny couldn’t help it that her face was frozen open with her tongue hanging out.

My mom called me at the last minute this morning to have me bring P up to the elementary school for an Easter Egg Hunt/thing going on.  Sam (my brother’s girlfriend) had told her about it, and a few of her friends were working it (one of her girlfriends was the Easter Bunny).

I hadn’t taken a shower since… ewww… Thursday… so I jumped in the shower and in record time got halfway presentable.  We flew up to the school (its only like 2 blocks away) and ran inside.  Porter wouldn’t let them paint his face, but he did let the Easter Bunny hold him.  He kept saying "Ooooh!  Ooohh!"  LOL.  He also liked playing the Rattlesnake Roundup game.
