It’s spring break, baby!

Ahh… so nice to know I have 10 days of relaxation.  (wait… is there such a thing when you have a toddler??) I have four sessions scheduled next week, so that’ll be time consuming, but other than that I plan on just relaxing.

I really wish we were going somewhere over spring break.  Everyone at school was talking about going to Florida, or Mackinaw, or the beach or whatever… ugh.  I wish we’d have planned ahead and got the hell outta here for the week.

We are, however, taking Porter to Disney World and Sea World this summer… we are going with the Porter’s (haha!), and unfortunately HerRyan is heading out to sea soon, so spring break time didn’t work out for the Disney Trip.

I’m really really excited about our vacation. This is going to be the first big vacation we’ve taken in about 3 years.  Ok, maybe 2 years.  We went to the Florida Keys with my aunt and uncle in… 2005 I think it was.  Anyway, it’ll be our first big vacation with Porter, and I can NOT WAIT.

Highlights that I anticipate:

  • Flying to Orlando and staying with Jess, Ryan and the girls at Ryan’s mom’s house for a few days and then….
  • Staying at the Cypress Point Resort in a 3 bedroom condo for 4 days, 3 nights.  Sweet!!!
  • Going to Disney World
  • Going to Sea World (This will be my first time)
  • Taking lots of pictures
  • Going back to Orlando for a few days
  • Shopping
  • Lots of photo shoots with our kids and our families… Jess and I are determined for each of us to get a great family picture out of this vacation!
  • Porter flying for free and getting into Disney for free (HAHA!)
  • An evening (or maybe two) out without kids… HerRy’s mom has offered to sit with the kids while we go back to Disney/Downtown Disney or out to dinner.
  • Eating Cold Stone Creamery… Jess, you know we have to make a stop there, right??
  • Taking lots of pictures
  • Lots of memories…

As you can see, I’m flippin excited.  When will it be June??

  1. Wow, that sounds like a great trip! That’s so neat that you guys will get to vacation together! I know you’ll have a blast! By the way – I believe teachers get in free at SeaWorld (not sure if it’s just FL teachers or all teachers) all you have to do is bring a copy of your teaching certificate. You guys will be so close to where I am… if you are up for a meeting, I’d love to meet you all – Orlando is not a far drive for me! 🙂
