Blog? ME?

I feel like I haven’t done a normal, rambling post lately.  It feels like all I’ve done is update update update.  Well, I have more updates.  Of course.

• I didn’t get the job that I interviewed for on Tuesday.  Go figure, my luck.  Luckily, things on the photography front are doing great, however, I’m just not sure how the outlook will be for pictures in the WINTER in MICHIGAN.  I suppose I can do the same thing as last year and only do young kids/newborns throughout the winter unless a family wants to brave the cold outside… which I’m totally up for of course! (ahh! See, there I go rambling… thats more like it!)
• I have a few pictures of my silly goofy nieces from Monday.  These girls are serious camera HAMS!  Lia and Shae were all about the crazy poses (their idea, of course!) and "More! MORE PICTURES!"  Too cute. (network is retarted… I’ll add later)
• I am still nowhere NEAR done with the Disney pictures.  I had two sessions yesterday (newborns, so get your fix over on the photo blog… they’re cute, I promise!), so I’m making myself put my business pictures away for the weekend and make this a "personal photo weekend only".  I have tooooo much to catch up on.
• Guess whats being retarted, Ryan Morrison?  My network!  I bet you couldn’t guess. I’m on the laptop, trying to get to my desktop downstairs to upload some pics (see above), and can the laptop play with the desktop?  No way! Would you believe me if I told you it worked the other day?  Have I ever mentioned how much I HATE computers sometimes?
• I bought my first pair of shorts in 8 years while on vacation.  They’re Mother Shorts, I promise, like a 5 inch inseam, but considering I HATE shorts, its a big step for me, Mother Shorts or not. 
• How is my kid getting SO BIG?  I swear he’s such a toddler now! I look at him and I can’t believe how much he’s grown.  In the Target cart his legs hang down so long it seems. He’s wearing 12-18 month and 18-24 month clothes, and even an occasional 24mo and 2T (although not in pants).  I was at Old Navy last night shopping their clearance for next summer, and I bought him a 3T shirt for next summer.  He can pretty much fit in Old navy 18-24 mo and 2T since their shirts seem to run a bit on the small side, but just the thought of him wearing a 3T next summer… UGHHH!  Where is my BABY?

The Porter Update (because it hasn’t been done lately)

• Goes on food fixations… over vacation it was any fruit… he pretty much survived on fruit.  Now that we’re home, its those mini vienna "smokie" sausages.  He barely touches his fruit.  Dork
• Has been telling us when he needs his diaper changed.  Last night he got the wipes, laid down in front of Ryan and threw his legs up in the air. He pointed to his diaper and said "EWWW!!" (thats what he calls poo poo.. "eeewwws")  Over vacation he kept saying "pee pee" and pointing to his diaper, and he’d grab at his "area" bend down as if he was about to suffer from serious bladder damage, and say "PEE PEEEE" and run to the bathroom.  We sat him on the toilet twice (at the same time wondering where in the hell he got that idea from!), and both times he wanted down as soon as we put him up there.  I am just not ready for toilet training yet.
• 
  He loves his Baby Einstein "Old MacDonald’s Farm" dvd.   He watched it
  a lot on vacation on the laptop, so now whenever we get the laptop out,
  he runs over, stands in front of it and dances back and forth from foot
  to foot (kind of the side bob) and says "EIEIO!  EIEIO! EIEIO!"
• Has a million new words.  Every day theres something new, and he is getting good at just repeating things we say.  The other day I said "Lets go out and look in the mailbox for our mail." Usually he says "MAIL!!!" but instead he said "Loook!!"  (ok, Heather, it was more like "LooKKKKKK"  haha!)

• He’s such a mama’s boy lately, which I love and hate.  When I’m gone running errands or at a session or whatnot, Ry always calls to let him talk to me because he said all he does is ask for "mama!"
