My “Happy Wall”

I wanted to re-do this wall in our living room.  It used to be a small collage… a 16×20 in the middle with some 5×7’s and a few 4×6’s around it.  I wanted a big photo grouping of happy pictures.  Pictures that made me smile when I looked at them.

I wanted a Happy Wall, and thats what I’m now referring to it as.  My Happy Wall.

Yes, its a little overboard.  The shelves take up pretty much the whole wall space (to the right, is the corner, to the left you can see the trim of the door to the playroom.

But I love it.  I love every one of those pictures on that wall.  They all make me smile.

(oops… the small square photo and the sideways 4×6 are going to be replaced… soon..)

I do have some other photos to frame of other family members (nana and papa, Aubri, some close friends etc…) and those will be scattered throughout our living room.

I love photographs.

And, on our other wall where we used to have the small shelf and an 11×14 with some smaller photos, is our new family photo (courtesy of Jessica Porter!!) in a 16×20 frame.

I think I’m going to put two vertical 5×7’s to the right of the photo as the frame, oddly, seems small on the wall all alone.

  1. I LOVE THIS!!! It is so perfect. I want to do something like this— I just don’t have any good pics of Ryan and I! Gotta work on that!

Thanks for the inspiration as always!

  2. Wow, well done! It all seems to fit perfectly like a puzzle. I love the idea of using display shelves and stacking them, instead of just hanging the photos on the wall in a traditional manner. Very creative 🙂
