Blog Surfing

I’ve been really bad at leaving comments on blogs lately. I read, of course, but I rarely leave comments anymore. I need to try to make it a habit to leave one when I read. I do. I do.

I thought it’d be fun to do something new with comments/blogs. A Blog Surfing game, of some sorts.

Here’s how it’ll work.

1) Go to your most recent post with comments and choose one of your commenter’s. Go to their blog.

2) Leave them a comment

3) While on their blog, check out their blog-roll (aka… links of blog friends they have in their sidebar).

4) Pick someone on their blog-roll that you don’t know and visit their blog- leaving them a comment, of course!

5) Follow steps 3 and 4 again, until you’ve visited 4 new blogs.

Now… keep track of where you go, and post your Blog Surf Journey on your blog. I’ll say I’ll try to do this once a week, but I am not sure it’ll happen. Here’s to doing it once, I ‘spose.

My Blog Surf Journey:

I checked my last post with comments (a measly 2… poooh!) and headed to Jenny’s blog.

From there, I visited Jaime’s blog and left her a little comment.

And then I moseyed on over to BeBe’s Corner. I think her blog is new… so I said ‘hi!’

And then to The Suburban Zoo to congratulate her on her pregnancy news!

Just because, I decided to be an overachiever this time. Just in case I never get around to another Blog Surfing Journey. I went from The Suburban Zoo to The Burgh Baby and got engrossed in her Questions Survey. Have to do that soon!

And then… she said her friend Jen was the funniest person she knew so of course I had to visit her blog! This post, I thought, was great. I took this quiz that I found through that post. I am going to try the bracelet thing. Really.

See… you learn a lot of things when you Blog Surf!

  1. The best thing about blog surfing is that sometimes you get caught doing it, and get some comments as a reward! Thanks for the visit to my place, even if you didn’t leave a comment. πŸ˜‰

  2. Just blog surfed my way to your site. Now I’ll go clickity click on one lucky person from your blogroll. Great idea πŸ™‚ Have a great week!

  3. It is very easy to get wrapped up into! That is why I don’t have the time to actually blog, just too busy surfing & commenting :)I have to break down & just blkog one day!

  4. Nope, can’t do it. I swore to stop surfing. But, I am glad it brought you to my blog, I must say. Also want to say that I LOVE the look of your blog. The blues are soothing/calming/and uplifting all at the same time. I also LOVE the picture of Porter! How’s the bracelet challenge going?
