Tile

Oh my word I am exhausted.  I just spent the last 5 hours tiling the backsplash in the kitchen.  Ryan was supposed to do the tile (he used to actually do tile for a living during and after high school).  However, he got one wall done (like a 6′ long section) and said he was done.  He didn’t even get to the long 13′ wall or the wall by the fridge.  I told him I’d do it because, well, if you know me… when I want something done I want it done like yesterday.  So, I took over and while I know its not as good as if he had done it, it doesn’t look too bad!  I can’t wait to see it grouted.  SUCH a difference!  

I decided on a bisque (just a slight shade off of white) subway tile like this:  (although gorgeous, this is not my kitchen).  Someday I’d like to have our cabinets painted a cream or light light grey (and distressed).
