Man… I’m wishing I could win the lottery, or get a huuuge tax refund… or something.  Why? Because I have a boatload of neat things I really really really wish I had the money to spend on.

I am doing Project Life this year.  Part of my resolution.  I’m challenging myself to take notice of the little things… take daily pictures, even if they’re just cruddy snapshots.  And also to challenge myself photographically to get more artistic and stretch my abilities.  I’m really excited about this!

But I’d love love love these little things to make this journey a little easier…

I so need a new printer for my computer.  Mine is probably 7 or 8 years old?  Ali Edwards uses this one to print her pictures for her scrapbooks and I think that’d be so much SIMPLER for me (see… its kind of my word!).  It would make scrapbooking in general more of a “in the moment” type activity instead of waiting for prints to come in the mail!

But probably more than that I think this little portable printer would be better… I could set it upstairs with my Project Life kit and print my daily 4×6’s for my scrapbook.

Speaking of computers… I so need a new one.  Mine has uh… 2% free space on it… I can’t even defragment it because that requires 15% free space.  I LOVE this computer… no tower!  Everything is in the screen AND it is a touchscreen!!

And, I’ve been wanting a iPhone/iPod dock to play music.  This one was recommended to me by a few people. This would be nice since we canceled television…  no more Sirius radio channels.  :*(

And something completely not necessary, but I’d love to get a nicer point and shoot.  Canon launched their Your Second Shot project and has a lot of point and shoot cameras that can handle low light situations better.  This camera has been on my wish list 🙂

A little personal item I love… this “Through My Lens” necklace.  Love.

Ahhh… a girl can dream, right?  I think this whole “giving up photography” spiel might have to kick the bucket so I have some spending money!  For now, I’ll just stick to worrying about paying bills, though.

  1. I have to open my taxes tonight. I know what they say. I am totally going to cry. I think it’s mean and unfair that they are going to take all this money from me and I don’t even get to have a glass, or bottle of wine to go with my tears. Meanwhile, that baby carrier is oooo soo cute. I love your list though and how you would have spent the money.

  2. Nicole, I have a sling if you want it. Just shoot me an email and I can send it to you or drop it off next time I am in town. It is barely used. It made by Peanut Shell and a really cute pattern. You can look it up online if you want and just let me know!

  3. I will get that over to you sometime within the next week. Send me your address and I will let you know what day I will be in town and i’ll shove it in your mailbox!

  4. Oh….yeah, WE are definitely going on a new wardrobe hunt after the boys are born!! I too will NEED some new clothes…I’m thinking Nordstrom’s Rack in Grand Rapids, I’ve never been, but I’ve heard it’s well worth it….the discounts are GREAT!!

  5. Quit talking about printers woman! The more you talk about it, the more I want one! And, I definitely don't “need” one! I can just print mine through walmart or something. That necklace rocks though!

  6. I just wanted to fill you in on the printer. I bought the HP Photosmart Premium All-in-one Wireless last year and although I LOVE it and it prints wonderful pictures, it's quite the money-hog. On average, my cartridges last about 6 weeks. This includes printing 30 or so “best” quality 4×6 pics within that time. I wouldn't trade this printer for anything and you will LOVE it, but, weigh your outsource printing costs carefully before you decide to buy.
