Porter is crawling!

Its so funny that I did his "update" earlier today.  This afternoon I was in Porter’s bedroom playing with him on the floor, and he kept getting up on his knees and rocking back and forth on all fours.  Then he’d move one knee and fall down.  Then do the airplane (on his belly, arms and legs in the air kicking and flailing), and then he started scooting/army crawling, using his arms to pull and his toes to push!  I got him on video, he’d alternate army crawl with getting up on all 4’s, taking one crawl and flopping on his face.  He hasn’t figured out how to move his arms when he’s on all 4’s. 

Then we went to my grandma’s and we were getting him to scoot/army crawl and he was getting really worked up, doing a crazy airplane wiggling, and then he got on all 4’s, got into the BEAR CRAWL position (on his hands and feet, not knees) and was trying to crawl that way.  Crazy kid.  Let’s hope he doesn’t learn to crawl that way— he’d look pretty funny running around on his feet and hands.  Oh my!

And this will shock you even more… I didn’t get pictures.  I did get his first bout of crawling (in his bedroom) on video, but I still don’t know how to get my video onto my computer.  I didn’t get the bear crawl on video, though, although it was hilarious, let me tell you.

So, I bet within the next week he’ll have the arm/knees thing figured out and we’re going to be nailing down everything in our house.  I’ll keep you posted, and hopefully have pictures later.
