Spring Break?

Hardly.

Its snowy and windy and cold and yucky out.  Not my idea of spring break.  After the week or two of really nice weather, its hard to put up with the blowing snow.  And the poor daffodils and tulips that have started to come up… they’re all wilted and drooping from the snow. 

We didn’t do much today…. we went to the post office (shipped off my 2nd child… its going to be a looong and sad 2 weeks, let me tell ya) and to Target and the bank.  And to the resale shop.  I got Porter 3 pairs of shorts for $12.  Good deals.

This afternoon and evening was uneventful, unless you count Porter as our entertainment.  He is getting to be so funny.  He’s been doing this thing where you tell him to "RUN!" and he leans his neck out, locks up his jaw (or makes the ‘ooooh!’ form with his lips), his eyes get really big and of course his arms are up and he just runs going "Oooohhh"! Its quite hilarious.

Ryan likes to watch Sopranos, and Porter just loves the song that plays at the beginning.  He usually just bobs his head and pretends to dance but tonight, no, tonight he learned how to spin.  He does a pretty good job at spinning for quite awhile, and then he gets to the point where he tries whipping his head first and then moving his feet.  I wish I knew how to put video on here…

And what else… hmm… He’s been throwing more and more tantrums lately.  Fun stuff.  We’re trying to get him to say "Please" for things, but of course when he’s frustrated and angry and wants his toy RIGHT NOW its hard to reason with him, so I’ve just started holding his hand and signing "please" for him, and then giving him the toy/food/cup etc… 

He’s said "thank you" quite a few times today.  It sounds more like "da doo" but he only says it when I’ve given him something and say "Porter, say Thank you!" and then he says "da doo"

Ahh how did this turn into one of those posts? Sorry bout that.  Nothing else interesting to write.  I’ll leave you with a little bit if spring… from the other day, of course.
