When I envisioned a first birthday party for a little girl, I pictured vintage, pale pinks, golds, lace, and flowers. I had SO much fun planning this party.
The chalk board was an old painting I bought at a second had shop. I pained over the picture with chalkboard paint. I hand drew the letterboard graphic to highlight all the things about Amelia at 1 year old.
I made the tissue paper pom poms for the ceiling, threw a shutter on the table with milk glass vases and fake flowers in them. The cupcakes and cake I made. The crown on her cake is a piece of lace, which I soaked in fabric stiffener, shaped into a crown and let it dry and then painted it gold. Everything from this party was DIY, secondhand or stuff I had around the house! Well, except her high chair. I hunted that baby down and repurposed it. I had a vision for it 🙂
